Happy New Year from iKwanzaa.com

Have a blessed, prosperous New Year!

Each year brings a fresh opportunity to examine how things are going…we encourage  you to take your New Year’s Resolution further this year– by aligning your spirit and your lifestyle with the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa. The Seven Principles -NGUZO SABA- are not divisive in nature, instead, they work together to build a sound cultural ethos which  coaxes your full potential to the surface. Embrace the NGUZO SABA in 2009…

1.      Umoja, Unity

2.      Kujichagulia, Self-determination

3.      Ujima, Collective Work and Responsibility

4.     Ujamaa, Cooperative Economics

5.     Nia, Purpose

6.      Kuumba, Creativity

7.     Imani, Faith

Blackbird browser

Have you heard of the new internet browser called BlackbirdLaunched in early December, Blackbird is an internet browser geared toward an African American audience. Their about page states:

“ Blackbird was developed on the simple proposition that we, as the African American community, can make the Internet experience better for ourselves and, in doing so, make it better for everyone. Primarily we believe that the Blackbird application can make it easier to find African American related content on the Internet and to interact with other members of the African American community online by sharing stories, news, comments and videos via Blackbird.”

We have been staunch Firefox users for more than 5 years now and while it is unlikely that another browser could disturb this strong preference, this new  browser promises to offer a cultural experience  previously unavailable…until now. Blackbird is clearly  stirring up conversations online- some people love the idea and others are appauled by it. Check it out and  share your thoughts with us here… tell us why you like it or why you don’t…
